Scottish Wedding Awards 2013

Scottish Wedding Awards finalists vow to do their best.

New Lanark Mill Hotel  has been shortlisted as one of the top 2 finalists in the Wedding Venue of the Year category in the inaugural  Scottish Wedding Awards 2013.

Brides who were married at New Lanark Mill Hotel have voted to get the hotel into the final two for the ‘Wedding Venue of the Year’ award in the South West region of Scotland! The category is currently being judged by Scottish Wedding Award’s panel of judges, with the regional and overall winner being announced at a glitzy & glamorous award ceremony, hosted by popular DJ Gina McKie, on the 22nd of April 2013 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Glasgow. Five of the key wedding staff members at New Lanark Mill Hotel will be attending the black-tie dinner and  really hoping for a win!

Lynne Cooper, Wedding and Events Manager at New Lanark, said, “Thank you so much to all of our brides who have nominated us. This makes all the hard work worthwhile. The minimum we will achieve is runner up for the South-west of Scotland…a huge achievement for us. We are over the moon and keeping our fingers crossed for the 22nd. Thank you once again”.

Lynne  adds  “one of the main comments we receive is that our brides deal with the same person from the booking stage to when the wedding takes place. We build a good relationship with the brides, the grooms, and their families. It is not unknown for us to shed a tear at the back of the ceremony room!” Let’s hope there will be some happy tears on the 22nd!
